Certified Snow Professional Program Congratulates Crystal Arlington
SIMA is retooling the CSP program to offer more and better certification opportunities for snow and ice professionals in the next year. Specifically, SIMA is:
- Creating a formal study guide, complete with six modules, that will help individuals prepare for the six-part, six-hour exam. The modules will be available in 2006.
- Rewriting the exam to incorporate new information, as well as formatting the test to expand opportunities for SIMA members in Canada interested in taking the test. SIMA estimates that by spring of 2007, the entire exam will be rewritten and available for testing.
- Adding testing opportunities. Testing opportunities in 2007 will be available at the Michigan Green Industry Association annual conference, the National Truck Equipment Association conference, SIMA regional training in April, and at the 10th Annual Snow & Ice Symposium in Milwaukee, WI, in June 2007.
The previous year showed almost 40% growth in number of CSPs.
